Sexy Women

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mode but the true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman grows with the passing years. - Audrey Hepburn

Let's face it everyone, women unfortunately are initially judged by their outward appearance. I hope Im not revealing some unknown fact here,  I hate to be the one to break the news to you but it is the truth as I see it.
We are judged by our bodies, our faces, our flaws, our beauty and our age. Fight it or celebrate it, the choice really is yours but it is better to embrace the knowledge and then have the confidence to do with it as you please. I hope you make the right choice.

I have noticed a trend that I believe is extremely healthy for young girls and for women of every age. There is a spotlight on the fact that in advertising, women are photoshopped to achieve a look that is virtually unobtainable. The beauty industry has begun to spotlight natural beauty in it's original state. Yes, for the first time in advertising history- women are permitted to "have flaws" and it's wonderful. The idea of having flaws mind you simply means not being photoshopped to perfection.

The statistics on eating disorders is staggering among young women. The clothing lines such as Abercrombie certainly do not aid in helping to maintain a healthy self esteem. Rumor has it they are going out of business, Im not surprised if there is truth to this. The C.E.O has insulted so many people, who would want to shop there. Apparently he is not interesting in attracted anyone who is over size 8- oops looks like he just ruled out 96 percent of the country. I can't imagine why this business is spiraling downward.

On a positive note, the dove ads which feature women that are not airbrushed have run in every magazine. They have been successful and appealing and have been an impetus for other companies to do the same.

Many celebrities such as Kate Hudson do not want to be airbrushed to an ideal that is unreal. She was very angry when GQ photoshopped her body and actually made a public statement that she did not look like the photo of her. She pointed out that the reality of her body was perfect to her.  Kate likes her body, despite it's imperfections. She has embraced what sexiness truly is. To accept oneself as they are and embrace what God has given them. That is Sexy, confidence is sexy.

The women of yesterday like Marilyn Monroe and Sophie Loren were absolutely gorgeous. They were at least a size ten and had voluptuous, curvy bodies. They didn't look like boys, they had curves and boobs and hips and they enjoyed their bodies. They had no desire to be a size 2. They accepted and embraced what God had given them. I encourage you to do the same.

No one has the perfect body, the perfect face or the perfect hair. Yet, we strive for perfection and it is not obtainable. If you are doing it for a man, don't bother as truth be told, men enjoy a sexy body that is curvy. Not all of them but most of them. If you don't believe me go ahead and ask. If you are comparing yourself to the models you see in the magazines, again, they are not real so don't bother.

Embrace your face, your body and let who you are on the inside shine outward. That is the beauty that will dazzle people and light up a room. Confidence in accepting all of you.

Today is the day to start the practice of celebrating what you look like, your flaws will quickly diminish. xo
